Zlatan Ibrahimovic Could Return to Action Far Sooner Than Anticipated (more pics)Zlatan Ibrahimovic was reported to be out of action until 2018, with the specific month of February touted as the time of his return.

However, apparently the Swede himself has actually targeted a return to action as early as November, as reported by the Daily Star, which would be a miraculous recovery given the severity of his injury.

The ACL injury he sustained against Anderlecht in the Europa League semi-final is essentially the only reason United chose not to exercise their option to extend his contract by a further year.

Before that, he had plundered 28 goals in all competitions and was surely in line for another season at Old Trafford.

For now though, Zlatan is recuperating using the club’s medical facilities and gym apparatus and apparently told staff at one of United’s training grounds that he is aiming to be fit within five months.

Meanwhile, the Red Devils remain in pursuit of Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata, as the two club’s haggle over a fee for the Spaniard.

And some sections of the media have linked United with a move for Cristiano Ronaldo, after the Portuguese forward apparently declared that he no longer wished to play in Spain following tax evasion allegations.
